A soft sigh escaped the blond as she looked herself over in the reflection of the window of her friends Red and black dodge viper SRT10. It was definitely a flashy car, but in Las Vegas flashy was the norm, and if you didn't garnish attention then you were just a ghost on the street. Honestly Lolita would rather have spent her day off at home catching up on reading or going through her almost full Tivo, but her friend had been adamant about taking her out on the town that night. Needed to meet new people, needed to have some fun and live a little she had said.
Her friend, a brunette with a wild streak was certainly a firecracker at heart and a native of the city of sin, as had her family been for the past five generations, unlike Lita, though she had spent well over a decade in the desert now. Watching the bright lights pass her by she couldn't help but miss the island that she was born on, the sandy beaches, lush trees, the water. Nevada was too dry for the siren, but she knew why her mother had moved them there, and maybe it was because of her mother's memory that she hadn't moved somewhere coastal yet.
Deep in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed that the car had stopped until her friend was prodding at her and rather unceremoniously telling her to get out of the car. Slipping out she fixed her skirt and shut the door, looking up at the building, the rather infamous Coyote Ugly, infamous because something worth telling as a story later always seemed to happen to her there. Prying her wary glance away from the building and to her friend, Lita was quickly whisked inside, suddenly hit by the combined smells of alcohol, perfume, cologne, and smoke. Shaking it off she instantly headed for the bar while her friend walked off to find some poor guy to pull under her spell for the night.
Sitting down beside a guy wearing sunglasses indoors Lita carefully raised a brow at that but figured it best to not touch upon the subject, even as she thought of the old Corey Hart song, and ordered a double shot of whiskey. If she was going to have to spend the next few hours here, then she may as well get loaded, everything was always a lot more fun drunk after all. Knocking the drink back she ordered another and shot that back as well, already feeling herself beginning to relax, another joined the first two and she was feeling better until one of the bartenders decided to pull her up onto the bar top to dance.
Slightly resistant at first, Lolita realized there was no way to stop this without appearing as some sort of a buzz-kill and eventually gave up, stepping onto the bar and finding the rhythm of the music playing as she began to swing her hips, twisting and turning in a serpentine motion. A good combination of music, movement, and alcohol was enough to get her to forget that at the moment she was shaking her assets in front of a bar full of people and basically in the face of the man wearing sunglasses. Either way, she was having fun now and downed another drink as she danced.
